The impression left on ceramic tiles by household objects coated in ceramic pigment and fired in a gas kiln. The objects, having been incinerated in the heat of the kiln, leave behind only glaze and a few screws and other debris. What remains is a dispersed impression of the space it once occupied and a record of its time in the kiln.
